Faith Barbare
Personal Trainer, Founder of SimplyFit

I have always been involved in sports. In high school, I was captain of the volleyball, lacrosse, and track team. In college, I played lacrosse at Tennessee Wesleyan and then transferred to the University of South Carolina where I graduated with a dual degree in Criminal Justice and Psychology. Since playing college lacrosse, I’ve continued to be involved with girl’s lacrosse through officiating high school games.

While my life has revolved around sports, I struggled with my body image in high school which eventually evolved into an eating disorder. After years of disappointment in my appearance, I decided it was time for a change. As I grew closer to God, I realized the importance of loving myself. In October of 2015, I decided to give my body back to Christ, and I hired a personal trainer. I haven’t looked back since. I changed my horrible eating habits and made working out a priority. Even while working four jobs, I didn’t lose sight of my fitness goals through the accountability of a personal trainer. While in pursuit of my personal ambitions, I discovered my love for fitness. My transformation gave me the inspiration to help others.

In 2016, I became an ACE (American Council On Exercise) Certified Personal Trainer, and I created SimplyFit. In the same way that hiring a personal trainer caused a 180-degree change in my life, SimplyFit will do the same for you. SimplyFit’s mission is to educate, provide accountability, and supply you with resources to help you reach your fitness aspirations through private or online training programs. As a full-time working mother, I understand how crazy life can be. Therefore, we cater to busy lifestyles.
